SINOPSE

Dois homens num vestiário enfrentam-se, desafiam-se, combatem e seduzem-se, num cruzamento interdisciplinar entre a dança, o desporto e a sexualidade. Uma obra que explora, a partir da corporalidade da dança e do teatro físico, os limites das linguagens performativas contemporâneas. Provocadora, interpelando os modelos da masculinidade, mistura acrobacia, sensualidade e comicidade. Iniciado em 2008 como uma pequena performance, o projecto cresceu e já praticamente deu a volta ao Mundo: Argentina, Bolívia, Uruguai, Espanha, França (com passagem pelo Festival de Avignon em 2015, onde fez furor), Bélgica, Itália, Alemanha, Suíça, Nova Caledónia, Canadá, Austrália, etc., etc.

A PEÇA

Un Poyo Rojo é uma mistura de acrobacia e comédia. Ingénuo, kitch, cliché, ou quaisquer que sejam as suas múltiplas leituras, é, no entanto, uma gama impressionante das possibilidades físicas e espirituais do ser humano.

BIOGRAFIA DA COMPANHIA

O projecto nasce em 2008, ao criar um espectáculo de variedades no Centro Cultural Laboratorio em Buenos Aires. Os seus criadores, Luciano Rosso e Nicolás Poggi, montaram um dueto com pequenas nuances cómicas a fim de encontrar formas dentro do movimento de mostrar diferentes relações entre dois homens, utilizando elementos de dança e de teatro. Este duo surge a partir de várias propostas de movimento que misturam trabalho contemporâneo de alto impacto em parceria com sequências de duo. 
No mesmo ano foram seleccionados para participar no festival "Ciudanza”, no Festival de Teatro Rafaela (2009 e 2010) em Santa Fé e no Festival El Cruce na cidade de Rosário (2009). Em Julho de 2009, recebem uma bolsa do PRODANZA para produzirem a composição da obra completa.
Em Abril de 2010, estreiam uma peça de 45 minutos no Espacio Cultural Pata de Ganso em Buenos Aires onde recebem uma forte reacção positiva do público. Com a versão integral da peça, são então seleccionados pela Rede Espanhola de Teatros Alternativos para percorrer três cidades (Madrid, Barcelona e Valência) como parte do 1º Circuito Latino-Americano da Rede, durante o mês de Novembro de 2010. Em 2011, retomam as actuações em Buenos Aires com Alfonso Barón, completando três temporadas esgotadas e continuando a digressão por várias províncias da Argentina durante 2012 e 2013. 
Continuando com as temporadas ininterruptas de trabalho no seu país de origem e na América Latina, em 2015 iniciaram a 7ª temporada em Buenos Aires e lançaram sua primeira Volta Mundial de 6 meses que inclui países de diferentes continentes como Uruguai, Bolívia, França, Itália, Espanha, Suíça, Alemanha e Nova Caledónia.Estão actualmente na 8ª temporada fazendo apresentações às sextas e sábados no Galpón de Guevara (Bs.As.) e em Agosto viajaram para a Europa para uma turnê de 86 apresentações que inclui a programação de teatros de prestígio como "Rond Point" em Paris e importantes festivais internacionais de grande renome em várias cidades de países europeus como França, Itália, Bélgica, Suíça e Espanha.
Un Poyo Rojo além de ministrar workshops nas suas digressões, dirigiu em 2015 um espectáculo denominado "LIFE BAG" com formandos da Scuola Dimitri (França, Suíça) com a qual fizeram digressões e realizaram várias apresentações em países como Suíça, Alemanha e França.

Synopsis

Two men and a radio station live in a garment, face each other, challenge each other, fight and seduce each other... An interesting crossover between dance, sport and sexuality. A play that uses body language to explore the limits of this contemporary language, with regards to movement and its subsequent interpretations. A provocation, an invitation for us to laugh at ourselves and, at the same time, to accept ourselves entirely.

The SHOW

Un poyo rojo is a mixture of acrobatics and comedy. It may be seen as naive, kitsch, cliché or any of the other numerous interpretations that can be thrown at it, however it still remains a striking show of the array of man’s physical and spiritual possibilities.

Biography of the company

The project started in 2008 when two performers were creating an act for a variety show in the Centro Cultural Laboratorio in Buenos Aires. Its initial creators, Luciano Rosso and Nicolás Poggi put together a duet with small comic touches in order to find ways within movement to show different relationships between two men, using elements of dance and also theatre.
This duet came out of different movement proposals which mixed high impact contemporary partner work with duo sequences. After presenting the piece for the first time, the opportunity came up to perform the piece in many other spaces in the city of Buenos Aires, such as the Ciudad Cultural Konex, Teatro del Perro, Teatro Martinelli and Circo del Aire, amongst others.
In April of that year, they were selected to participate in the “Ciudanza” festival which takes place in urban spaces around the city and with the collaboration of Hermes Gaido, the current director of the company, they recreated the piece. They were also selected to perform at the Rafaela Theatre Festival (2009 and 2010) in Santa Fé and at the El Cruce Festival in the city of Rosario in September 2009. In July 2009, they received funding from PRODANZA in support of the completion of the full-length play.
In April 2010, they debuted a 45-minute-long piece in the Espacio Cultural Pata de Ganso in Buenos Aires and received a highly positive reaction from the audience. Then with the full-length version of the play, they were selected by Spain’s Network of Alternative Theatres to tour three cities (Madrid, Barcelona and Valencia) as part of the Network’s 1st Latin American Circuit during the month of November in 2010. In 2011 they resumed performances in Buenos Aires with Alfonso Barón, completing three sell-out seasons and continuing to tour various provinces in Argentina during 2012 and 2013. 
Continuing with uninterrupted seasons of work in their home country and in Latin America, in 2015 they began their 7th season in Buenos Aires and launched their first 6-month World Tour which includes countries on different continents such as Uruguay, Bolivia, France, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, Germany and New Caledonia.They are currently in their 8th season doing performances on Fridays and Saturdays at Galpón de Guevara (Bs.As.) and in August they travelled to Europe for a tour of 86 performances that includes the programming of prestigious theatres such as "Rond Point" in Paris and important international festivals of great renown in several cities of European countries such as France, Italy, Belgium, Switzerland and Spain.Besides giving workshops in his tours, Un Poyo Rojo directed in 2015 a show called "LIFE BAG" with trainees from Scuola Dimitri (France, Switzerland) with which they toured and performed in countries like Switzerland, Germany and France.
