MÉTODO SUZUKI

Método Suzuki é um treino teatral, que reúne uma forte filosofia e gramática para o artista cénico. Desenvolvido por Tadashi Suzuki e sua companhia Suzuki Company of Toga (SCOT) no Japão, inspira-se no Teatro Noh, Kabuki, Kathakali, tragédia grega, artes marciais, ballet, desportos, entre outros. Este procura explorar uma abordagem rigorosa do trabalho do artista performativo, despertando a energia animal que jaz adormecida no corpo contemporâneo através do controle da respiração, da energia e do centro de gravidade, princípios que potencializam e multiplicam as suas habilidades expressivas e emocionais, bem como sua sensibilidade interna.

BIOGRAFIA DOS FORMADORES

Diana Bernedo

Actriz, encenadora, pedagoga.
Licenciada em Teatro Físico pela Real Escuela Superior de Arte Dramático de Madrid (RESAD 2003) onde teve a oportunidade de receber formação directamente do grande mimo francês Marcel Marceau. Especializou-se no Método Suzuki com o Mestre Tadashi Suzuki e a sua companhia SCOT, no Japão, e no Mimo e a Pantomima com José Piris e Claudia de Siato, discípulos honoríficos de Marcel Marceau. Desenvolve o seu percurso pedagógico desde 2009. Foi professora de Método Suzuki em diversos seminários durante 2022 e 2023 na ESTC/IPL, em Lisboa. Trabalhou como actriz com encenadores como Tadashi Suzuki, José Luis Gómez, Ernesto Caballero ou Mattia Sebastian Giorgetti, entre outros; e em companhias como o Teatro de la Abadía ou La Fura dels Baus. Co-fundadora e co-director artístico da companhia JAT - Janela Aberta Teatro e do MOMI – Festival Internacional de Teatro Físico – Algarve, juntamente a Miguel Martins Pessoa.

Miguel Martins Pessoa

Actor, encenador, pedagogo.
Formou-se em teatro na companhia Pequeno Palco de Lisboa, de Rui Luís Brás e João Ferrador. Especializou-se em Teatro Físico na Escuela Int. de Mimo e Teatro Gestual Nouveau Colombier, de José Piris (discípulo honorífico de Marcel Marceau), em Madrid. Estuda Método Suzuki no Japão com Tadashi Suzuki, Kameron Steele e Aki Sato-Johnson. Complementa a sua formação com artistas como Hajo Schüler; Raúl Iaiza, Claudia de Siato ou Rogério de Carvalho. Colabora em Lecture on nothing de Bob Wilson, no Japão e actua em companhias de Portugal, Espanha e Turquia, com encenadores como Luís Vicente, Alberto Castrillo-Ferrer, entre outros, e em companhias como o Pequeno Palco de Lisboa, ACTA, Sigilo Teatro ou Mimox Teatro. Desenvolve projectos de educação para os Direitos Humanos, através do teatro, na Turquia, Grécia, França, Alemanha, Espanha e Suécia. Dirige ainda os projectos de Teatro Comunitário: Quarteira Fora da Caixa e Teatro de VizinhEs – Faro. Co-fundador e co-director artístico da companhia JAT - Janela Aberta Teatro e do MOMI – Festival Internacional de Teatro Físico - Algarve juntamente com Diana Bernedo.

SUZUKI METHOD

Suzuki Method is theatrical training, which brings together a strong philosophy and grammar for the scenic artist. Developed by Tadashi Suzuki and his company Suzuki Company of Toga (SCOT) in Japan, it is inspired by Noh Theater, Kabuki, Kathakali, Greek tragedy, martial arts, ballet, sports, among others. The method seeks to explore a rigorous approach to the performance artist's work, awakening the animal energy that lies dormant in the contemporary body through the control of breathing, energy and center of gravity. Those are the principles that enhance and multiply our expressive and emotional abilities, as well as your inner sensitivity.

TRAINER'S BIOGRAPHY

Diana Bernedo

Graduated in Physical Theater from the Real Escuela Superior de Arte Dramático de Madrid (RESAD 2003) where she had the opportunity to receive training directly from the great French mime Marcel Marceau. She specialized in the Suzuki Method with Master Tadashi Suzuki and his company SCOT, in Japan, and in Mime and Pantomime with José Piris and Claudia de Siato, honorific disciples of Marcel Marceau. She develops her pedagogical work, since 2009. Teacher in seminars of Suzuki Method during 2022 and 2023 at ESTC/IPL, in Lisbon. She has worked as an actress with directors such as Tadashi Suzuki, José Luis Gómez, Ernesto Caballero or Mattia Sebastian Giorgetti, among others; and in companies such as Teatro de la Abadía or La Fura dels Baus. She is the co-founder and the co-artistic director of JAT - Janela Aberta Teatro and MOMI - International Festival of Physical Theater – Algarve together with Miguel Martins Pessoa.

Miguel Martins Pessoa

Actor, director, musician, pedagogue.
He graduated in theatre at the company Pequeno Palco de Lisboa, by Rui Luís Brás and João Ferrador. He specialized in Physical Theater at the Escuela Int. de Mimo and Teatro Gestual Nouveau Colombier, by José Piris (honorific disciple of Marcel Marceau), in Madrid. He studies Suzuki Method in Japan with Tadashi Suzuki, Kameron Steele and Aki Sato-Johnson. He complemented his training with artists such as Hajo Schüler; Raúl Iaiza, Claudia de Siato or Rogério de Carvalho. Collaborates in plays such as Lecture on nothing by Bob Wilson in Japan and performs in companies in Portugal, Spain and Turkey, with directors such as Luís Vicente, Alberto Castrillo-Ferrer, José Piris and Rui Luís Brás, in companies such as Pequeno Lisbon Stage, ACTA, Sigilo Teatro, Mimox Teatro.
